A universal tea bowl - no base, no handle, no saucer. Nothing that ties it to one particular culture. A dry stone is matte and rough to the touch. Once wet, its surface turns into a glossy skin. The glaze picks up this change and marks the point up to which the tea can be poured. The bowl’s shape and size are an invitation to slow down and drink with restraint, just like drinking directly from your hands, sip by sip.
